She Plays Golf – Ontario Festival

The Ontario She Plays Golf festival is a citywide celebration of golf for women and girls taking place across the Greater Toronto Area alongside the Ororo PGA Women’s Championship of Canada from July 2 – July 6, 2024.

    • Fast and Female will be joining us for this event to provide a mini-workshop on the ‘Power of Positive Thinking’, focusing on positive self-talk and how it relates to sport participation.

    Learn to Scramble
    BraeBen 9-Hole Par 3 Golf Course
    • Join us for a fun and non-traditional women & girls “Learn to Scramble” event at BraeBen 9-hole Par 3 Golf Course!
    • 4:30 – 8:30pm (shotgun start at 6:00pm)
    • 5650 Terry Fox Way, Mississauga, ON L5V 2N7
    • Registration fee: $50 (includes dinner, a She Plays Golf “swag bag” and participation in Learn to Scramble event)
    • A “scramble” in golf means that each member of a group tees off and then collectively, the group decides which shot they like the best. Other team members pick up their balls and everyone hits from that chosen spot.   • Junior Leagues, Lessons & Programs

    1. First Tee – ON – Sessions for youth that seamlessly integrate the game of golf with character building, with coaches providing an introduction to junior golf while also preparing participants for life ahead. Visit website for a full list of locations.

    2.Youth on Course – A Golf Canada program where participating courses offer up blocks of tee times throughout the week for Youth on Course members to play for $5 or less. Memberships cost $59.95 for a full 12 month Golf Canada membership, with the benefit of having access to Youth on Course at various courses in Ontario. Visit website for a full list of locations.

    3.Junior Introduction to Golf Program (Mississauga) – A clinic geared towards the new and novice golfer at BraeBen Golf Course. Core fundamentals will be introduced to help build confidence and allow you to take skills learned onto the golf course. Topics covered include Driver, Iron play, Chipping and Putting. Equipment (Balls & Clubs are provided if required).

    3. Golf Ontario Women’s Try Golf Series – Women’s Try Golf events focused on FUN. Includes a welcome video/tip, 9 holes of golf (can play 3 or 6), a participant gift, clubs available with no charge and a complementary beverage.
