Anderson makes his debut on the Amateur Squad following a strong year with the University of San Francisco, earning three top 10 finishes, including a second place finish at the Oregon State Invitational. The Mississauga, Ont. native won the 2019 Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship and qualified for the 2019 RBC Canadian Open.

Q: How did you get into golf?
My parents gave me plastic clubs when I was 2 and I hit balls in my grandmothers living room. I played a real golf course for the first time when I was 4, entered tournaments at 8 and I have loved the game ever since.
Q: How do you mark your golf ball?
I use a red or blue sharpie and fill in a line over the Titleist logo.
Q: Do you have any siblings? If so, how old?
I am an only child.
Q: What was the last book you read?
Probably a book from high school, I don’t really read too much.

Matthew McConaughey
Q: What is something most people don’t know about you? Any hidden talents?
I loved hockey as well growing up and played for 12 years.
Q: What exercise do you dread the most?
Squat rack.
Q: What was the last picture that you took on your phone?
Definitely a swing video as those take up most of my camera roll.
Q: What is the best thing about your hometown?
Family and friends I grew up with and I like the city a lot.
Q: Do you have any superstitions?
Only 3 tees in the pocket at any given time, using the same ball markers, or lucky alignment sticks.
Q: What is the most surprising thing in your golf bag?
A spare pair of contacts.
