Conducted by Golf Canada, the Canadian University / College Championship is a showcase of the finest university and college golf programs in Canada.
The event, which includes both male and female competitors, was created with the intention of giving the finest Canadian university and college golfers the opportunity to compete for a national championship, as well as acting as the Canadian team qualifier for the World University Golf Championship.
The event is a four round championship. After the third round the field will be cut to the low 10 Male Teams and the low 6 Female Teams. Teams and individuals within 15 shots of the lead will also make the cut. There are four contests at this event:
- Men’s Team
- Women’s Team
- Men’s Individual
- Women’s Individual
Eligibility
- Be an amateur as intended by the International Olympic Committee and the appropriate International Sports Federation. Amateur status will be confirmed by Golf Canada.
- Be a student who participated in their fall golf program and is/was registered for and pursuing a full-time course of study at a post-secondary institution throughout the academic year.
- Full-time status during this academic year must be confirmed by a document signed by the registrar of the institution.
- Female competitors must have a maximum Handicap Index of 25.0 or less and male competitors must have a maximum Handicap Index of 11.0 or less.

Exemptions
The Women’s and Men’s Individual winners receive an exemption into their respective Canadian Amateur Championship. The top-three Men’s and Women’s individual finishers qualify for the FISU Universiade Games.
